WHAT IS "TOTAL POPULAR MUSIC"?
We keep getting asked that question, so here is a concise answer. There are essentially three popular music radio formats these days -- Mainstream CHR-Top40, Hot Adult Contemporary (HotAC) and Mainstream Adult Contemporary (AC). That is not to say that other formats do not play music that is "popular," but it is not music that is classified as "pop music."
